Here's a Canadian joke I heard at Robbie
Burns.. (I think only Canadians
will get the joke. Or at least Albertans and British Columbians)
A Canadian dies and goes to Heaven. Once
there he begins to check out
Heaven and see what eternity has to offer? After awhile in his new
home,
and feeling disappointed, he goes to Saint Peters to file some complaints.
After waiting on a waiting list for eternity,
he's ask to fill out a tonne of forms,
then he goes on to St.Peters.
"What are your grievance?" Asks
the angel.
The Canadian begins his rant:
"You call this Heaven?? It's cold! The TV gets only crummy
public
television channels. When it works! The repair guy never bothers
to
show up, only leaving us to wait on the phone. I'm always being
ask
to give more miracles than I can come up with, by you guys. No
entertainment. Nothing to do here. I sit around doing nothing. And
everyone is always in a bad mood! Nothing gets done around here!"
To which Peters replies, "If you don't
like it. You can go to Hell!"
The Canadian jumps at the opportunity and after getting his green
card,
proceeds to Hell.
In Hell the Canadian marvels at the wonders!
No one is sitting around
all day bored on their clouds. Here they all have some work to do.
Big screen TV's, with lots of channels. Fancy cars speedy around
everywhere. Despite being busy with work, everyone seems to have
much more free time. Free time spent doing fun entertaining things
or
hanging out together having huge parties. Less rules, more freedom.
"I-I-I don't get it??" The shocked
Canadian from Winnipeg says.
"This place has everything! It doesn't suck like Heaven does".
Turning to the devil he asks, "What gives?"
"Oh, didn't you know? Everything went
to Hell when Chretien
and the Liberals won a third term (in Canada)".
[Har har har!! It's funny cause
it's true ;-) Thanks allot Ontario! Look what you've
done now. Though things are rolling strong here in Alberta, of course.]
