earnings
career, US Vogue or Arena?)

If I could rant for a quick
minute.. (if the writing is too small for your eyes.
Just 'highlight', 'copy', paste in a 'txt' file or email.
Hit keyboard keys "Ctrl"
with "M", and a blank email message should appear.
"Ctrl" with "C", copies.
"Ctrl" with "V", pastes. See, Fashist!
is computer smarts ;-) )
It sounds like Ana is in huge
demand.. in Brazil, but it'll spread, you'll
see. Not everyone in fashion is activist minded or a prude.
Those Arena
pictures could be what is a start of Ana's big break into
a larger notoriety
than just fashion circles. The porn imagery isn't much help.
I suspect LaChapelle
in the end will take the heat, if any, on that.
Not Ana, she's just the model in all this. LaChapelle's photography
seems obsessed in this topic: Porn.
Gisele and Ana's Arena editorial.
I'm sure Gisele's was tamer only because
it's Gisele - Which is why it wouldn't surprise me if Gisele
begins to notice
Ana getting more calls. Ana has looks that are good for fashion,
men's lifestyle
mags (babe mags), Sports Illustrate Swimsuits, Victoria's
Secrets.
A wide range! So don't be surprise if you start seeing Ana
appearing in a
wide range of magazines. Not saying she will. Just if she
does. Don't be
surprise and go all "Coo coo for Co Co Puffs" excited
like some fashion
writers, editors, and other "experts", all get excited
when something obvious
happens. - But with LaChapelle. I saw some scans of Pamela
Andersen
he took for German Playboy (One of the fashion scanners did
them. I'm
guessing because of the LaChapelle connection, since this
scanner likes
to scan fashion photographer books). Awful!! Pam's bad enough,
but
these photos, gross. Looked exactly like the Arena editorials.
Not the
themes of the "S&M Housewife" or "Porn
actress". Just the feel of it.
I read an article how Playboy
is losing allot of subscribers. Men sick of
this Porn Chic look. Surprise, surprise! No surprise Fashion
started using
a bunch of awful new models, dull themes, bad imagery earlier
this year
and alienated many. I'm sure guys who buy Playboy want some
Playboy
look to the magazine. Not some Hustler type one. Alienation
= poor sales, ha!
I would think if you publish a magazine only meant to sell
a few thousand
copies a month. You can get away with being niche or cater
to one set of
people or demographic. So reason would say, if you're trying
to sell to
hundreds of thousands per month. You want a little something
for everyone.
A big-tent magazine, if you will. Seems like some magazines
editors,
fashion show casters, designers, are forgetting this. They'll
have only
themselves to blame when sales are down.
I would stick LaChapelle
in this group of people who don't seem to have
much to offer fashion these days. His photography of late,
in my opinion,
and I like everyone is allowed a opinion. His photos are becoming
a parody
of themselves. New talent is needed, but not on the runway
or pages of
magazines, like we got. It's needed elsewhere - badly.

have to do schooling while acting
but not models? Also, why use 14 and 15 year olds? Not sure if I
agree of the exact ruling, but I do the spirit of it. Canadian standards
