NY Times - Kate Betts article. Pretty much the same as above. Points a finger at fashion for using thin models.
(Kate Betts also uses that phoney lame line, "Hundreds of years ago, fat women were seen as beautiful, and not skinny ones!". First off, fat POOR women weren't viewed in chic. Just the rich ones. Get it? They had money. Money = sexy. These desperate aristocratic broads gladly would pamper any suitor who paid attention to them. Also in those circles, people weren't given a wide choice on who they could marry. Look at Prince Charles for a recent example. He was expected to marry a princess. When in truth he was in love with an unattractive commoner. So that theory is out. Sorry Kate, better do a bit of truth saying the next time you bite the hand that feed you.

Also, common sense here! Look at the models used. They're teenagers. Notice how when many models get into their 20s there bodies get more of a womanly shape. Kate, I guess doesn't? Maybe fashion magazines shouldn't use models under 18. Designers shouldn't use on the catwalks and in their ads, girls under 18. That's not likely going to happen. It'd be like asking a pimp not to use its whores. But fashion has an advantage the pimp doesn't has - Public relations. Use the 14, 15 and 16 year olds, just make sure you throw out some fat model to make the feminists, and PC morons happy. I can't stand liberal fat guilt and lies. No wonder mags lately suck.)
