- Thailand
getting tough with fashion shows?
EXPOSED BREASTS: Move to cover up models (nationmultimedia.com)
Thailand's Culture Ministry has clamping down on bare breasts
at fashion shows and in fashion magazines. Letter sent to Elle
magazine giving warning.
(Nobody better tell Thailand that fashion
likes to teenaged girls. Or someone might get a caning or something.
Wait a sec... Thailand? Hey, isn't this the country with the out
of control prostitution and kiddie porn problems? Maybe fashion
should reply the models used are all under-aged. sigh...)
- Pakistan
bans fashion?
Fashion
shows out of favour (dailynews.co.za)
Pakistani Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali has ordered authorities
to crack down on fashion shows because they are un-Islamic.
(I guess this means Chirac will be banning
fashion shows in Paris next, har har :-p
Bets on model Lauren Bush asking her uncle to attack Pakistan
now? Just joking! But this is bad news on what could be the direction
this nuclear weapons producing country is going. Bad news indeed.
I guess this means PM Jamali didn't watch the Victoria Secrets
show last week. I bet he didn't. Of course.. neither did I. )

in Movies: Laetitia
Casta in Toronto
Fashist!
friend and Globe trotting photo journalist, Nam Parker
report for Fashist!Online about Laetitia Casta in Toronto,
promoting her new movie.
"I
was in Toronto as a guest of a couple of Indie Film
makers and a handful of bigtime entertainment lawyers
that have a lot of pull at the Toronto International
Film festival. I was able to tag along to all the events,
gala screenings, premieres and parties. One of the 61
films that I attended was a French film called Errance.
To my surprise, this film starred none other than my
all time favorite Model Laetitia Casta". |
