Models on Movies
by Nam Parker

Fashist! friend and Globe trotting photo journalist, Nam Parker report for Fashist!Online.
.

I was in Toronto as a guest of a couple of Indie Film makers and a handful of bigtime entertainment lawyers that have a lot of pull at the Toronto International Film festival. I was able to tag along to all the events, gala screenings, premieres and parties. One of the 61 films that I attended was a French film called Errance. To my surprise, this film starred none other than my all time favorite Model Laetitia Casta.

She walked on stage before the lights went down and gave a brief speech in French. Although I did not understand a word she said I assume it was "Thanks for coming, I hope you enjoy the show as much as I did making it"... type stuff. I didn't like the film Errance at all. It was a real downer about this lying, cheating, abusive husband of Laetitia. They have a kid and finally the jerk gets murdered.

Laetitia looks great through out, shows a lot of screen presence, and turns in a decent performance. Unfortunately, this film is going nowhere in my opinion.

"Laetitia with director
John Sjogren"

Laetitia still needs the right role in the right film and she'll break out big! After the film I followed Indie Film Maker John Sjogren over to Laetitia. After he spoke briefly with her I had a chance to speak to her. I told her I was a big fan and that she was great in the film and a few other things before I asked her if she reads "Fashist!Online".

She was very curious and asked about it. I told her about this site and she said the next time she goes online she'll check it out. There was a French film I did like and recommend. The title translates into English as "Who killed Bambi?" Lots of beautiful and talented young French starlets. If only Laetitia was in this film?!
